USA (Vermont) February 23-25: Foundation Level Teacher Trainings: Lyra
Hosted by NECCA
PREREQUISITE: Introduction to Teaching Aerials workshop.

Offered as a 1/2 day workshop in three consecutive days so participants can opt to take the Fabric Foundation course concurrently or private lessons.

This workshop will guide you though the curriculum created by Nimble Arts™ to provide clear and effective progressions and spotting techniques for beginner lyra/hoop students. We'll focus on body mechanics, conditioning & stretching while creating a foundation of body awareness and safety.

PREREQUISITE: Introduction to Teaching Aerials workshop.
Be comfortable executing Foundation level skills: this includes, but is not limited to skills under the bar (double ankle hang/running man, one knee hang), on the bar (front balance, straddle back balance, gazelle, amazon), and beginner "velocity" skills such as half mill circles. Exceptions to this skill level requirement can be made for teachers with physical limitations that do not hinder their ability to be competent teachers AND spotters at the Foundation level. (For example: someone in a foot cast with previous experience who can still spot and execute some skills, or someone with a shoulder injury who academically knows the skills required and are comfortable spotting.)

If you are not sure if you are at the necessary skill level or have any other questions, please contact us at nimblearts@gmail.com for more information.
