USA (Vermont) June 16-17, 2018: Fabric Teacher Training: Intermediate One
|Hosted by New England Center for Circus Arts|
PREREQUISITES: Fabric Teacher Training: Foundation Level or Fabric Teacher Training Workshop prior to 2013.
Learn how to safely spot drops and teach complex sequences using elements of Fabric Theory with a curriculum created by Nimble Arts™. We’ll also spend time on creative choreography to help keep you and your students inspired while moving a pace that allows their bodies to develop to the level of physicality necessary for safe fabric training.
Be comfortable executing, without prompting and on both sides, without extensive review, a broad range of intermediate level skills and some advanced skills including opposite side dive (aka flippy/diaper/salto), double star drop (aka ramon), unlocked 360, cross back straddle (including choreographic variations such as Georgia twist), double crochet/double crucifix drops such as tic tock, front balance knee drop, and basic locked “sit” drops such as figure 8 series and hip key roll around. If you are unable to match these trick names to your names or if you are unsure if you are at the necessary skill level please contact Elsie at email@example.com.
Note that participants who do not meet the required experience level will be asked to sit out the workshop and will not be refunded.
Exceptions to this skill level requirement can be made for teachers with physical limitations that do not hinder their ability to be competent teachers AND spotters at the Intermediate level. (For example: someone in a foot cast with previous experience who can still spot and execute some skills, or someone with a shoulder injury who academically knows the skills required and are comfortable spotting.) Please Elsie at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
If you are not sure if you are at the necessary skill level or have any other questions, please contact us at email@example.com for more information.
